Anouka is a project born from the serendipitous discovery of earth pigments and natural paints in Morocco — awakened by the profound transformation of motherhood. What began as a simple yet powerful word written in the sand, Anouka has blossomed into a space that offers intuitive illustrations, seasonal designs inspired by nature, and creative experiences where art becomes a language of connection and presence. Today, Anouka acts as a sower of seeds, inviting conscious women and families to move through the world with a deeper sense of intention and awareness. At Anouka, we believe art is a bridge that brings us together, revealing the sacred landscapes within — where transformation takes root and blooms.

This piece was born from a deeply personal journey.
I was once told I might never carry a pregnancy to term. And yet, I became a mother of two.
“Womb Waters” emerged during my second pregnancy, a time when I became profoundly aware that everything I felt, my baby could feel too. Not only what I ate, but what I absorbed and carried within me:
emotions, fears, energies and quiet hopes.
I longed to create a space of protection.
A place where she could feel safe, held, and deeply loved.
These artworks became that space.
Through watercolor I create soft, fluid worlds, filled with warm waters, organic forms, and quiet light.

Born from a simple, tender question — “Mummy, can you make a doll that takes my fears away?” — YARUMI exist to hold what is too big for little hearts to carry alone.

Samara is a companion for women who wish to honour their cycles, navigate change with intention, and create space for reflection, creativity, and ritual.
Created for women in seasons of transformation — whether through motherhood, personal renewal, menopause, or quieter inner shifts — Samara invites a deeper connection with the wisdom carried within the body and soul.
An artist’s book crafted from paper and fabric, Samara features my original illustrations, intuitive therapeutic art, traces of personal mythology, and poetic-ritual practices. It is a symbolic journey through inner landscapes, from menarche to menopause, a path to be travelled in the soul’s spiral time.
In botany, a samara is a winged seed that spins through the air, carried by the wind towards new ground. In the same spirit, Samara was created to accompany movement, growth, and transformation.
My intention is that this book be lived with. That it becomes an intimate sensory experience. That it gathers marks, folds, pressed flowers, annotations, and memories — just as our bodies do.
There is no prescribed route through Samara. You may enter through whichever landscape calls to you, add or peel away layers, and return to its pages whenever you feel the need. It is a space for wandering, remembering, and reimagining.
Each Samara journal is unique. While all copies share the same illustrations and overall structure, every edition includes its own special details: a different fabric pattern, a page of junk journaling, natural elements, small surprises, and handcrafted touches that make each object one of a kind.
I chose to embrace the visible stitches, the imperfections, and the beauty of handmade work. The spontaneity preserved in a gesture, the line that wandered slightly off course, the page with torn edges. Just as we are, whole within our imperfections.
Inside the back cover, I stitched a small pocket for secrets. There, you will find a collection of cards offering gentle invitations and reminders for honouring different phases of a woman’s journey.
Samara is an invitation to slow down, listen inwardly, and celebrate the many versions of ourselves we become throughout a lifetime.

A 1:1 session is an intimate and deeply personal encounter where I accompany you through intuitive art in a process of listening, presence, and transformation.
In this space, I use intuitive perception to help you connect with what is alive within you right now — emotions, blockages, intentions, or inner callings that may not yet have words. The session is an invitation to slow down, feel, and to allow what is beneath the surface to reveal itself.
From this place of awareness, we begin to give form to the invisible. Your inner experience is translated into a symbolic, one-of-a-kind artwork — a piece that continues to resonate beyond the session itself.
An essential part of this journey is the integration process. It unfolds during and after our time together, allowing what has been revealed to gently settle into your body, your energy, and your lived experience.

Meet Joana
Joana Rita moves through the "dance of life" guided by artistic sensitivity and intuition. Her award-winning illustrations — ranging from children’s books to the visual identity of traditional music and dance across Europe — are inspired by an imagination deeply connected to nature and symbolism. Influenced by her grandmother’s legacy, her work explores the "invisible threads" between inner and outer landscapes where line, color, and patterns intertwine. Beyond her studio, Joana’s journey is enriched by studies in Ancestral Wisdom, Shamanic practices, and the Divine Feminine. Through her illustrations and intuitive art experiences, she invites conscious women and families to reconnect with their own creative power.
